Victoire / Victory

Merci!!!

***Pat's SMS for Sunday January 17***

2 days without news, I'm sorry, I was caught in the celebrations and not much time on internet!
As you know now, my dream is complete fact. At 15, I told myself that someday I will do the Dakar. 10 years ago, I realized that dream and now 10 years later, I ended my dream. What emotions!
I bring you back to yesterday. It started badly. I still had a fuel problem as early as the beginning of the link. I tried to find fault but I could not before leaving for the Special! I ran out of gas 3 times during the stage. A hose was jammed and I did not know so I drove on just one tank. To my delight, I was into the crowd so I managed to find the essence, for cons, I lost a lot of time! But I crossed the Finish Line of Dakar!
Wow, I had more than 300km liaison to ... with 1 tank! On the road, I passed a tanker truck and I motioned him to stop. He gave me gasoline directly from the tank! Only here can it happen.
And then there were crowds everywhere, everywhere. We felt like true hero! I put the bike at the park closed. At this time, I did not realize it yet, I was ready to run another step! But with all the joy that was around, I finally realized.
Tomorrow, I tell you the day today. Here, there was a party waiting for me!
Pat
PS I had time to read your comments and there were tears ... Thank you!
