Deuxième jour / Second Day

Ce soir est un beau soir! J'ai fini ma première journée du Dakar sans pépin! J'étais vraiment content ce soir! En fait, j'étais fou comme un balai!
Ce matin, le réveil était à 3h30 mais j'étais déjà réveillé, j'avais hâte de partir!
La liaison était un peu pénible, 320km dans le brouillard et le froid! Mais ça en valait le coup. Les hélicos, le monde en attente du départ, le Dakar était vraiment commencé!
Je ne suis parti pas trop vite et en plus je ne pouvais pas trop rouler debout à cause de la position de mes guidons (c'est arrangé maintenant). Pas évident pour moi!
Mais où j'ai commencé à me faire plaisir, c'est dans la parti technique! Et là, j'ai roulé à mon rythme! Mais surtout, je me suis fait plaisir! Ce terrain est parfait pour moi, il resemble beuaocup au Maroc! Donc je me sentais à la maison.
J'ai eu quelques frayeurs et aussi je suis arrêté pour réparer mon GPS qui était sorti du boitier!
Alors, je crois que si je roule à mon rythme sans me préoccuper du classement, je vais arriver au bout! Mais ça va pas être facile, ça c'est garantie!
Demain, ça sera comme auourd'hui mais un peu plus long.

Tonight is a beautiful night! I finished my first day without problems. I was happy, in fact, I was very exited.

This morning, the wake up call was at 3h30AM but I was already awake and eager to go!
The liaison was a bit painful, 320km in the fog and cold! But it was worth it. The helicopters, people waiting at the start, the Dakar has really begun!
I didn't go too fast and plus I could not ride too upright because of the position of my handlebars (it's arranged now.) Not obvious for me!
The technical section really made me happy! Then I could ride at my own pace! But mostly, I had pleasure! This terrain is perfect for me, it is like Morocco! So I felt at home.
I had some fears and also I stopped to fix my GPS which was out of the box!
So I think if I ride at my own pace without worrying about the rankings, I'll get to the end! But it will not be easy, that's guaranteed!
Tomorrow it will be like today but a little longer.
